Thursday June 3rd 4:30 – 8:30 Step 13™ FUN raiser: Artists’ Brushes Lend a Helping HandArtists’ Brushes Lend a Helping Hand is a FUN raiser for Denver ’s Step13™ The event features an art sale, games of chance, live music and refreshments.
The fundraiser is Thursday, June 3rd, 4:30-8:30 pm, downtown at the Gilmore Art Center , 2119 Curtis Street . There is no admission charge. The artwork includes contemporary American paintings ranging from realism to the abstract. Carlene Francis, Larry Leroy Pearson, Edwin Friedman & Michael Charron are the exhibiting artists. Game prizes include original paintings by the artists, a $600 pair of diamond and sapphire earrings donated by Musselman Jewelers, along with gift certificates for massage, acupuncture, reflexology and more. Co-sponsors for the event are: Patrick Jolly Fine Art, Mile High Framing, Gilmore Art Center , and Olde Town Acupuncture & Wellness Center in Arvada. For more information call 303-308-1270. God gives every bird its food but does not throw the food in its nest. God also gives each bird the material to make its nest but does build it for the bird; the bird has to do its part. Of course, if a bird is unable to fly, we should take care of him. But there are many who could fly but don’t or won’t. These need a nudge out of the nest, not just a cozy place in it. They might fall, but it’s the only way they’ll ever get to soar to new heights.
